"Okay I normally don’t write reviews but I had to for this because wow.

From the second we walked in, the whole place just felt different. It’s right on the waterfront and the view alone is insane, especially around sunset when everything reflects off the water. The whole space has this really high end, polished vibe but still feels comfortable and not stiff at all. It actually feels like somewhere special.

And Oneka… genuinely the best host I’ve ever had anywhere. She got us seated so fast and was so funny and welcoming the entire time. Like instantly put us in a good mood. You can tell she actually cares and isn’t just going through the motions.

Our server was just as amazing, so sweet, super attentive, and somehow always there right when we needed something without hovering. She gave the best recommendations and made everything feel effortless.

Now the food… I’m still thinking about it. The oyster tour was honestly unreal, probably the best I’ve ever had. Everything was so fresh and perfectly curated, it felt like a whole experience on its own. And the short rib pappardelle… actually insane. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was rich and full of flavor, and everything just came together in the best way.

Everything about this place just hit. The view, the vibe, the people, the food, all of it. It felt like a full experience, not just dinner.

"It was my mother 91st birthday Robin the manager was very kind professional and she made our party of 18 plus feel very welcome. Her smile lights of the room she is so genuine. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant."

OMG! Definitely did not expect the superior experience! My husband and I decided to give this spot a try impromptu! When I say A-MAZ-ING! The ambiance is nice and comfortable, 3 floors of historic memorabilia, my favorite pieces were the cool antique cash registers. The service was beyond exceptional! Our waitress Erin was very attentive and knowledgeable! She recommended the green fried tomatoes I was considering and boy they were nothing like I've ever had! So delicious! Packed with flavor! For dessert I had the seasonal peach cobbler made with fresh locally grown peaches! A-mazing!

This is a review of the newly renovated and recently opened Rod and Reel restaurant. It looks like most of the other reviews here, with the exception of one is for the old restaurant prior to it undergoing a huge facelift and change of ownership. Had dinner here this past Saturday evening to celebrate a birthday. I really have to say that everything was top-notch. The hostess was friendly when we arrived. Our waitress, Callie, was super friendly and helpful. She was able to make recommendations and give us detailed descriptions of most of the menu items. Manager came over to check on us and make sure everything was to our liking. Everything we ate was really delicious. There wasn't one person in our party of 5 who was not happy with their meal or drinks. The dining room is nicely appointed, but not overdone. We were there in the evening, but could easily tell that the large windows in the dining room provide an excellent view, overlooking the marina and outside of the resort during the day. I could easily see myself coming back here for happy hour, another full dinner or even just for dessert and drinks. Would definitely recommend as this is easily gonna be one of the nicer dining experiences in the twin beaches and north end of Calvert county.
